Hidden Veg - a market garden

Hidden Veg is Propagate's market garden, tucked away on the Hidden Rd in the Glenkens, Dumfries and Galloway. It's a wee market garden - only half an acre.

We grow a huge range of seasonal veg - beans, courgettes, salad leaves, tomatoes, kale, chard and so much more.

We use organic methods although we're not certified. We're no-dig and permaculture and we make lots of space for helpful insects! We love looking after and improving the soil.

Veg is sold weekly throughout the main growing season to local people at affordable prices. Any profit from veg sales goes towards Propagate's other projects, for example the Balmaclellan Community Garden, or Glenkens Food Month.

Veg is ordered via our online shop between Monday and Thursday, and delivered locally by bike on Friday.

In summer 2021 we had a trainee (pictured right) funded by Kickstarter (DWP funding). Aside from that, no one takes a wage from Hidden Veg
