Soil and Soul is Propagate's flagship project in Glasgow for 2022
we've been taking communities on journeys to explore soil's dark web. In collaboration with the British Society of Soil Science, Open Jar Collective, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Our groups have been on
adventures with Propagate and friends into the magical world of soil. We’ve been going deep underground
to explore our connection to the ground beneath our feet. We've met micro-organisms, dipped into geology
and learnt about the history
that's given us the soils we have today.
We've made composters
and wormeries, seedbombs
and permaballs, created art
from soil and plants, and had lots and lots of fun!
Our groups have been: Chara Centre, Woodside Kids, Cadder Primary School, Lambhill Stables, City of Glasgow College - Development Group and CityWorks, as well as loads of visitors at the Riverside Museum.
Massive thanks to everyone who has taken part!
