This November we held another excellent conference, co-organised with NFU Scotland and Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere.
Farming for Future: Planning for Profit and Nature explored how farming can be good for both the environment and the farm business.
We were joined by a host of speakers who covered everything from upland sheep to organic dairy, biodiversity to a deep dive into soil health.

Our next Farm Walk is on
Friday 6 December to
Gryffe Wraes in
Renfrewshire. Willie Harper will host us at his family run farm where they rear beef cattle with a mix of Aberdeen Angus, Simmental and Charolais cattle; as well as a sheep flock. Willie undertook annual carbon audits and has also been adjusting livestock management and undertaken soil sampling. He will take us through changes he has made throughout his time at Gryffe Wraes, as we take a walk around the farm.
Whether you are looking for inspiration for your own farm, want to learn more about regenerative farming and agroecology, or how to get involved with ongoing projects check out our resource library.
Our Soil Health Group is for Farmers who want to take a deeper dive into creating healthy living soils on their farms.
We have a focus on the 'underground livestock' and how this supports plant health, animal health, biodiversity and carbon sequestration.
Listen to audio recordings from farmers telling their own stories about living and working on the land.
We hear from Irene, Naomi, Neil, Ruth and Heather - all members of the RegenFarm Network, and all working hard to produce food profitably and in harmony with nature.
Share an acre is for farmers and landowners who are willing to 'share an acre' (or more!) with a market gardener or vegetable producer.
This is our response to getting more vegetables produced for local retail in Dumfries and Galloway. We need more veg production for diversity, resilience and health!
On February 15th 2024 we hosted a conference in partnership with NFUS and Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere. We had a huge range of brilliant speakers, great conversation and networking.
